Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

Today was by far the most exhausting and trying day yet. Sorry this post is 1 day late but events did not end until 11:45pm and C.J. was at the magic kingdom until midnight so we did not arrive home until very late. Today was filled with more rehersals and the all important evening wear competition. Both girls looked and performed amazingly. Jacqueline was also lucky enough to place in the top 5 for actress. She did a Mastercard comercial about the Phillies. The night ended with my competition for the Mrs. title. By that time I was completly exhausted and spent. I still placed first runner-up. We did have a pleasant break in the middle of the day, we hosted my parents and the Seratch family for Thanksgiving Dinner at our condo compliments of the Honey baked ham store. Complete dinner ready to go. Around midnight Carter Butler the producer of the Coed pageant for the past 25 years pulled the winning ticket for the trip.

Monday Nov 23rd Animal Kingdom and Orientation

We are finally settled into our timeshare. This am we got up early and went to animal kingdom. Unlike yesterday today was very crowded. We were able to do a few things then the girls and I had to leave to go to the Hilton Hotel in Downtown Disney to register for the pageant. This process took 3 hours. The girls were not happy about missing the rest of Animal Kingdom. The boys stayed behind and had a wonderful time. We promised them we would go back at the end of the week.

We arrived in Orlando at 3am on Sunday morning

Chris was a mad-man drove 8 hours straight after the day in Stone Mt. Georgia to arrive in Orlando. Thank goodness the second hotel we tried had one room left. We got up Sunday morning and spent the day at Epcot. The park was not that crowded and we had a fantastic time!!! The girls wore their sashes and received many compliments and congratulations.

DONATING TO SHAYLYNN

Julia raised $250 at her stand at Funfest. She decided to give the money to Shaylynn Mahon. Shaylynn is a young girl Julia has been dancing with for several years in her competition dance group STARFALL. Shaylynn was diagnosed with Wegener's Granulomatosis an inflammatory blood vessel disease which is difficult to treat. Shaylynn is one of 4 children in the Mahon family and they must travel to Hershey medical center frequently for medical treatments. Those wishing to help Shaylynn can do so by sending donation to Shaylynn Mahon c/o Cross Valley Credit Union, 147 Airport Beltway, Franklin Corporate Center, Hazleton, PA 18201.

FUNFEST

After the parade Julia, Jacqueline, and mommy ran a stand with the help of mommy's office staff and a special friend Kaitlyn. We sold waffles and ice cream. We were there until late in the night. We had a great time and raised money for a great cause.

September 13th was Funfest. This is a large celebration in downtown Hazleton. Julia, Jacqueline and our friends the Seratch girls all rode on a float in the parade. The driver was none other than Daddy. He had a great pageant wave.
